Old friends. Longtime collaborators. Seasoned Campaigners.

We've spent the last 25 years organizing campaigns, building tools, running strategy, and supporting communities. Elephant Room is how we keep doing that; with people we trust, on projects that matter.

Tarah and Ben Together

We prefer to introduce each other

Tarah

Tarah is a builder. Of movements, bridges, systems, and narratives that actually stick. A storyteller who evokes empathy, a strategist who looks at the entire board, and a pragmatist who'll count buildings if that's what the data gap demands.

She doesn't just talk change: she architects it: But you'll rarely see her coming. Where others see obstacles, she finds hidden levers: a loophole in public opinion, a story that cracks open policy, or the exact pressure point to turn bystanders into allies.

Ben

Ben brings focus to chaos. A rare hybrid of policy wonk, systems thinker, and pragmatic problem-solver, he's worked across tech, climate, and Indigenous governance; not just navigating different worlds, but truly connecting them.

Ben builds bridges with humility, never posturing; he just gets the work done and makes everyone around him better at doing theirs. He's allergic to BS, ruthless about impact, and somehow still the most trusted person in the room.

What We Do

We help good people do hard things. That usually means:

  • Running campaigns
  • Clarifying strategy
  • Making research usable
  • Supporting public engagement
  • Writing the words that make it all land

We work small, move fast, and show up when it counts.

Working on Something Important?
